In an effort to raise money for Ukraine, we have created a contribution box which is located at the American Polish Cultural Center, all funds collected from our guests, employees as well as a portion of our Paczki Sales will be donated to “Polska Akcja Humanitarna” an organization assisting those in need during this difficult time #standwithUkraine

Dear Polonia and Friends of Polonia,

35 years ago, our parents and grandparents came together, raised money and purchased the building which we call American Polish Cultural Center (APCC). The Center has hosted countless dignitaries, luminaries, statesmen, and even Presidents. But most importantly, it has become a place where we can feel at home, as we celebrate our Polish heritage.

Throughout the years, APCC has depended financially on events like weddings, communions, birthday parties, concerts and many others. Sadly, these events are now being cancelled or postponed due to le-gal restrictions related to the corona virus pandemic.

No one seems to know when the situation will improve. Still there are taxes to be paid, monthly mort-gage payments to be made, payroll and property maintenance to be paid.

The APCC is the last great Polonian venue in our region where you can celebrate the special moments in your lives in a fine Polish style. Therefore, we are making an appeal for your financial assistance to the Center in order to survive the COVID-19 crises.

We must raise $80,000 to pay property taxes by September, and $200,000 by the end of 2020 to meet our other operating expenses.

Now, is the time for all of us to come together again and show our solidarity to save this small part of our homeland. The APCC needs your financial assistance! Every donation counts, no matter how large or small. If $1000 is appropriate that would be terrific. If $20 is what is best for you that would also be wonderful! Only your decisive action will allow us to save our Polish heritage for today and tomorrow. Without your help we may have to close our doors forever!

Droga Polonio i Przyjaciele,

35 lat temu nasi rodzice i dziadkowie solidarnie zgromadzili duże pieniądze i zakupili budynek, który nazywamy Amerykańsko-Polskim Centrum Kulturalnym (APCK), a w którego progach każdy Polak może poczuć się jak w domu i celebrować nasze polskie dziedzctwo.

Przez wszystkie lata istnienia APCK utrzymywało się z organizowania rożnych imprez takich jak wesela, przyjęcia urodzinowe, koncerty i wiele innych, nie tylko dla Polonii ale dla całej społecznosci Detroickiej! Niestety, wszystkie imprezy są teraz odwoływane albo odkładane z powodu ograniczeń związanych z pandemią koronawirusa.

Nikt tak naprawdę nie wie, kiedy sytuacja się poprawi. Natomiast nadal trzeba płacić podatki, miesięczne raty hipoteczne, jak również inne opłaty związane z utrzymaniem nieruchomości.

APCK to ostatnie polonijne miejsce w naszym regionie, w którym można celebrować wyjątkowe chwile naszego życia w pięknym polskim stylu. Dlatego apelujemy do Państwa o solidarne wsparcie finansowe Centrum, aby przetrwać kryzys i móc służyć Państwu kiedy pandemia w końcu minie, a my wszyscy będziemy mogli żyć jak dawniej.

Do września musimy zebrać kwotę $80,000 na opłacenie podatku od nieruchomości, a do końca 2020 roku $200,000 na pokrycie pozostałych kosztów operacyjnych!

Liczy się każda suma, nie ważne jak duża czy mała. Jeśli kogoś stać na ofiarowanie $1000 to byłoby wspaniale. Jeśli $20 jest tym, co możesz ofiarować, to też wspaniale! Ważna jest solidarna pomoc, która pozwoli uratować nasze polskie dziedzictwo na dziś i na jutro. Bez Waszej solidarnaj pomocy prawdopodobnie będziemy musieli zamknąć nasze drzwi na zawsze!
